Bhutan Spiritual Tour Itinerary with Ganesh Tours And Travel
Day 1: arrives at Paro International airport and then head to Thimphu, the capital of Bhutan. Overnight stay in Thimphu.
Day 2 : is time for Thimphu sightseeing and embark on a special spiritual tour. We will visit the monasteries and meet with the monks. This provides a spiritual experience. Pangrizampa Monastery school of astrology is a very popular one and is visited by many visitors. We will drive to Pangrizampa Monastery school of astrology which is about 30 mins from the main town. It is known for traditional astrology and many visitors come here to know about their future and seek blessings. We can indulge in the traditional Bhutanese rituals at Pangrizampa Monastery school of astrology. We can purify our bad karma and seek spiritual guidance. It will be a unique and fulfilling experience. In the evening we can visit Buddha Dordenma. Buddha Dordenma is the largest statue of Buddha in the world and is about 51.5 meter tall. We can also visit clock tower square in Thimphu which is an open ground for cultural shows, festivals, souvenir shops, trade fairs and other.
Day 3: we will drive from Thimphu to Punakha. The scenic view on the way is mesmerizing and passes the Dochula Pass. We will then visit The Sangchhen Dorji Lhuendrup Lhakhang which is a temple offering a great view of the Punakha valley. The temple also serves as the meditation and learning centre of the nuns. Visiting this temple will provide a deeper insight to the religion and practices of Bhutanese people.
Day 4: we will travel to Haa Valley from Punakha. Punakha is the winter capital of Bhutan and has many mesmerizing sacred sites to visit. The most popular is Punakha Dzong and it is a beautiful site to visit. The Dzong is located at the meeting point of Phochu and Mochu and it makes the Dzong a very scenic site. The visitors can also have local guides to tour the Dzong and get to know the history and the significance of the Dzong.
Day 5: we will drive back to Paro and the Paro town offers many outdoor activities and experiences. One can treat themselves to local Bhutanese cuisine and also can try wearing traditional Bhutanese dress. There will be an overnight stay in Paro.
Day 6: we will trek to the famous “Tiger’s Nest” and this is considered to be the most religious site in the world. It is at the cliff of the mountain and is a 4 hours trek. It is a holy site for the Bhutanese people and people coming from across the world visit this place with great enthusiasm. This gives a sense of purpose and also a divine experience for many.
